Top 8 Things to do in Las Vegas

1. New York New York

New York New York is a two minute roller coaster that is located on the strip. This rollercoaster is themed as New York City---hence the name---with the statue of liberty along the side of it, some buildings, and a mural of the city in the waiting line. New York New York is a very fun ride with loops, fast tracks, and the exhilarating rush you get right after it. Another fun thing that happens is they take pictures before and during the ride. Definitely check this out if you are ever in Las Vegas!

2. Lake Mead

Lake Mead is a beautiful lake. However, Lake Mead isn’t in Las Vegas, it’s actually outside of it in Boulder City. It is one of my favorite spots in Nevada since my family is there. My uncle always brings his jet ski and we drive around the whole lake. Here's a fun fact: the mountains at lake mead shows where the water used to be. Lake Mead is also where the Hoover Dam is!

In the picture above you can see the difference between the water level in 1983 and the water level now.

3. The STRAT

The STRAT is a hotel and a casino located in the Las Vegas valley. There is a beautiful view on the top where you can see a bunch of Las Vegas. At the top you can do various different activities. For example, Big Shot----a ride where you catapulted up into the air at 45 miles per hour! Another fun one to do while you are up there, is the ride X-Scream----where you dangle over the edge of the building at 866 feet high! And wait, there's more! The STRAT even has bungee jumping! They call it the Skyjump where you leap off the building going 40 mph, 829 feet above the ground!

4. Fremont street

Fremont street used to be called “Old Vegas.” Fun fact, there is still the first and oldest casino there! Besides that, there are a plethora of activities you can do. Slotzilla zipline is a fun ride where you can either zipline the classic way, or the superhero way where you glide over Fremont Street like you are flying! They will also take pictures so you can take your fun memories home. At night, there is the Viva Vision Light Show where you can see fun, bright lights and visuals!

5. Circus Circus

Circus Circus has some great shows to see during the day! Where you can see live circus acts being performed! With classic circus games, and if you're into that they also have an arcade. If you stay at their hotel they have fun and an action packed pool. There is a 50 ft slide tower and a splash pad playground with water buckets and waterfalls for all ages.

6. Bellagio Water Show

The Bellagio Water Show is a beautiful and super fun show to watch. Music plays while the water is choreographed to match the song. The show happens every 30 minutes from 3pm to 7pm and every15 minutes from 7pm to midnight. It's located by the Bellagio Hotel.

7. Top golf

You may have seen this attraction on social media with the “fill your own doughnut” dessert. This is a very fun and competitive game. They give you golf clubs so you don’t need to bring your own. There are certain spots on the field where you can get a bunch of points. Definitely a fun and challenging game of golf!

8. Visit the Strip

The strip has so many fun and popular activities to do! It's also just such a great city to go to with attractions left and right. Some buildings are super random and make you ask yourself, “Why is there an outback and a huge coke bottle right next to each other?” Well, that's Las Vegas for you. The lights at night are breathtaking, and you can go anywhere at any time of the day!

There is so much more you can do in Las Vegas, but these were some of my favorite spots. If you ever go to Las Vegas make sure to check these places out!
