The Girl Named Malum Chapter 4: Corpse Dance

Do you enjoy watching me suffer through words? Does my suffering please you? Does the mind of a human not understand one’s being? Do my actions not mean good enough to you? Why won’t you let me out? Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. …Victima watched in fear as he observed his partner in pain, her body twisting into peculiar shapes, her bones cracking and her blood oozing onto the floor. The priest stared in shock as he continued to perform the exorcism. “...the Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary, and the Athanasian Creed…” he boasted, “Let the Lord ease your pain and cast thy satan out of thus host”. Her screams were deep and animal-like, Victima still was frozen in fear, he could only move a finger in this position. Malum’s back arched and her arms inverted, her body was soon to be just skin and bones. Suddenly, a group of doctors came bursting through the cathedral’s doors. They didn’t look like normal people, not even close to doctors…the only thing Victima could process in his head was that these people would take Malum away. He had to do something…

He finally moved, shaking his head and finally pushing himself to run after Malum. But sadly, he was stopped by “the doctors”. Holding him tightly in their grasp and pulling him away from Malum. He screamed and cried, his eyes rolling back in ease making him lose sight of her…but not love… “You shall not take my moon away, you shall not take my light from me, you shall not take my love from me!” he screamed at the top of his lungs “she is mine and I am hers! Shalt you take her from me, I swear on God’s life I will find YOU IN HELL!”. Once his eyes rolled back to their normal position, he threw an elbow strike to the front of the doctor's face, causing their nose to bleed. He then took down the doctor with the leg trip takedown tactic. Victima used his strength to get up and run towards Malum… but he was too late. She had already been strapped to the medical med and she was rolling out of the chapel and into a vehicle. He chased after them passing through cops and bystanders. Jumping over cars, pushing people aside. His legs soon began to slowly lose their power. No, no, no , no , no , no ! he said to himself stupid legs! This is the reason why you stopped going to the gym!. His legs took his last breath and failed on him, he fell with a thud and scraped his face on the sharp floor. His breathing became thin and his eyesight was blurry. He already lost Malum…-how dare you leave me with them…

The “doctors” threw Malum into an armored van and drove off with her, her screams sounded deadly and horrifying. “Let me out” she screamed as the mouth guard muffled her screams “LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! Ḷ̴̰͍͈̓̽̈́͐E̸͙̭̖̿͂͠͝T̸̛͚̩͚̯̏̾́̓̌̊̉ ̴͖̤̥̌͐Ḿ̵͙̭Ě̴̥̘̺ ̷̻̱̯͇̝͂̋̌̒͌ͅO̵̭̅̍̀͆͗̕U̶͈̥̫̬͗̓͌̎̕͝T̸̘̦̣̓̊ͅ!” her screams turned low and deep, they started to sound inhuman. She growled and fused around trying to break free of her restraints. Driving over a bump, She fell off her seat and squirmed on the floor. Screaming and growling deeply, her voice sounding more inhuman. The mouthguard started to dig into her skin, causing her great pain. She screamed , making the pain worse, her back arched in pain as she tried to break the mouthpiece. She began to bang her head on the hard seat, causing a dent in the seat, her blood started to cover it. She continued this, causing her face to scab and bleed, her mouth guard slowly ripping apart her own mouth. She slowly gave up, as her face was covered in her own blood. Her breathing was heavy and her eyes were dilated. Her eyes didn’t even close as the hours went by, it was like she didn’t have eyelids at all…like someone ripped them off of her

The vehicle stopped and the door opened. To their surprise, the back where Malum was contained was covered with walls of blood and dents. They didn’t mind at all that her suffering caused damage to their vehicle. They dragged Malum and threw her onto the floor, her eyes still open. They strapped her to a moving medical bed and moved her away. Suddenly a huge building appeared in her eyes…”welcome to Waverly Sanitorium…you’ll be staying here for a while…” one of them said coldly. They opened the doors and pushed her inside, the hallways were filled with children, adults, and elderly. They wore white gowns, some looked torn and old, others were stained, Malum wasn’t supposed to be here…

They rolled her into an elevator and it lifted them up five floors. They moved her out of the elevator and into a room..but not just anyroom…the operating room. Of course, Malum had been cut open before, but this one was different, this wasn’t just a check up…it was something else…The positioned her over the light, it blinded her but she could still sense dread in the room. The doctors placed a speculum in her eyes and poured a liquid in her eyes. It started to burn her eyes, the light made it worse, it was like it was slowly melting her eyes away. She started to fidget as she tried to break free, but the pain was unbearable. They soon strapped her arms above her and cut open her chest, to their surprise just like the previous doctors, she had no organs, no intestines and no…heart… They smiled psychotically at this creature, a unique creature…a unique experiment. They pulled her skin back and placed it on hooks to keep her chest open, they started to pick at her skin, trying to find answers…trying to find an answer

She couldn’t scream, she couldn’t budge, she couldn't move… she was stuck there, like she was frozen in time. “Her insides are gone, how interesting” a doctor said looking at a vial of green liquid “her skin is different from humans, her genetics are confusing and her brain…is long gone”. They looked back at Malum ``this creature, it must be outer worldly, an alien to be precise” they chuckled “the FBI won’t need to know about this…assistant, give me that scalpel…”. The assistant grabbed a small scalpel off of the counter and handed it to the doctor. “Her face will look lovely with a bit of scars' ' he said as he moved the scalpel towards Malum’s face. They started making small cuts by her cheeks and nose and soon to the rest of her face. Malum’s eyes were still wide open and still frozen. They slowly ripped Malum’s face off and to their surprise, that was the only part of her that had muscle. “Interesting…only this part contains muscle” they picked at the skin and sliced it open, but it regenerated back. “Hmm” they forced the scalpel into Malum’s flesh, but instead of piercing it, the flesh consumed it. “Interesting…” the doctor mumbled “lets see how the sentient reacts to this…”. They grabbed a torch and lit up her skin, to their amusement, Malum didn’t budge, but shed tears of fear. They watched in astonishment as her skin began to fight off the flames. “Let's set her whole body a flame” the doctor motioned his assistants to start the burning process. “Begin now..” as they gave the signal the assistants started to burn different parts of her skin. Yet the unsettling part was that her skin was fighting back the flames, physically. It kept winding together to make itself thicker, yet the skin wasn’t fireproof, it still burned some parts of Malum to crisp.

“You must believe me when I try to tell you the truth…” the doctor spoke to Malum “you will never find a place in this world, no matter how long you wonder the Earth’s corridors, no matter how many people you take from here, you will never find the thing you are looking for…” the doctor snapped their fingers and their assistants stopped burning Malum’s skin. “Take them to the incinerator” the doctor ordered as he sewed her back together. The assistants nodded and rolled her out of the operating room. “Why does the doctor want us to incinerate her…?” an assistant asked , “I have no idea, that doctor is always out of his head..”. They walked her body to the basement and covered her with a cloth “you think she’ll awake? She’s still breathing…” an assistant said worried “I mean, I don’t know how she's still alive after that operation”. They pushed her into the incinerator and started it up. “You think she’ll get out?” an assistant asked curiously as they closed the metal door and locked it, “not a chance dude” the other said, rolling the hospital bed away.

They walked up the stairs and to the big office of the head doctor. “You think they’ll give us a raise? You know it’s been fifty-two years since the last outbreak…” an assistant said worried “but trust the doctor right..?”. They walked to the big office doors of the head doctor, “we must tell the church we got rid of that demon” they said, opening the doors and peeping in “if they find out that demon isn’t burned to ashes we will get banished from going into heaven…”. They stepped into the office, his presence loomed over them, casting a shadow on their small bodies. “Is that thing gone? Did you finally do something worth your life here!?” the doctor said coldly rubbing his hand “get your butt over here right now! MOVE IT!” he screamed. . They hurried inside, “S-sir, we made sure her body was strapped and broken…she shouldn’t be able to return…”. The doctor sighed and turned around “let us attend our daily blessing at the church…” he started to walk away, motioning his assistants to follow him. As they left the building, something happened below…

With the eerie coldness sweeping through the basement of the building and the roof slowly falling apart from pressure, the incinerator woke up slowly. Malum’s eyes were finally closed and her hands were placed to cross over her body. She was tightly wrapped like a mummy, her body slowly heating up from the heat inside the incinerator….but suddenly her eyes shot open as the cloth ripped apart. She stared at the ceiling with her eyes bloodshot red and her veins turning hard. A voice echoed through the hallways of the ash covered basement…Immortal she…
