Cross Country Comes to a Close: A Photo Series

Writer: Toby GordonToby Gordon

Kai Garcia-Tobar, Takumi Wetherell, and Toby Gordon cross the finish line simultaneously following a spontaneous decision to galavant through the last few meters holding hands.

The team replenish their electrolyte stores with some fresh coconuts following a hot race at Waiakea.

Ahhh yes, the blessed beach visits. Nothing quite like a delectable dunk in the salty sea after doing sprint repeats on a road so hot you can feel it through your shoes.

Wow, who knew such a brutal sport could foster so many smiles? Look at these athletes having fun, sitting in the sun, glad to be done with the day's run.

The team often turned to ice baths to solve their many aches and pains, be it legs laced with lactic acid or some shin splint shenanigans.

States: check! 7 boys and 3 girls qualified for states and flew to Maui to compete in the cross country championship where the season's hard work culminated in personal records and all-out efforts.

Look out! Bulls on the run!
