The beauty in front of you

You used to think it was hard to be happy,

Like the world was stuck in endless gray,

But maybe it’s harder to see the blue skies

When they’re pushed away, day after day.

It’s hard to notice the green grass, the trees,

When you’re lost in envy, caught in what could be.

It’s hard to feel the pull of the deep blue sea,

When all you want is for it to come to you, silently.

But then one day, you’ll open your eyes,

And realize the world’s not meant to disguise—

The beauty’s here, just waiting for you,

In the blue sky, the grass, and the trees that grow true.

That deep blue sea? You won’t need it beside you,

You’ll find your calm, and the peace will guide you.

No more waiting for someone to see,

The world has always had enough for you to be free.
