i live hidden amongst the

ant and black widow,

gray in my drab inky form

with my coating so grimy

and leafside lightless,

mystic in bleakness and scorn

i must face the lonely,

sinister night, with my

sirens unlettered in gloom

as i cower in cries, as

i wait and may glint

in the glow of the yellowing moon
