Reasons to Live Through the Apocolypse

Writer's picture: Toby GordonToby Gordon

Inspired by Nikita Gill’s poem Reasons to Live Through the Apocolypse

Joy.

Smiling.

Completion.

Being outside.

Sitting under trees.

Choruses of birdsong.

Sunshine in the evening.

Seeing a pet in total bliss.

When boredom brings peace.

Bare feet in the mud or the sea.

A breeze of just the right velocity.

Laughing so hard your stomach hurts.

Picking up a loved one from the airport.

Artwork that makes you want to do art.

Soup and a fire when the air is cool.

Water when the mouth is parched.

When a song is simply perfection.

Comfy clothes after a long day.

Wearing your favorite shirt.

A meal that hits the spot.

Getting into bed tired.

Being above clouds.

Jumping into lakes.

The sound of rain.

Deep breathing.

Your heartbeat.

Wondering.

Surprises.

Dreams.

Toast.
