A painful lie

In fear's clutches, thoughts tightly wound, Shattered hopes, will we be unbound?

Mind paralyzed, heartache profound,

Silent suffering, a story resounds.

He claims the world, a promise divine,

Yet adapts his words, entangled with mine. Forced into this cruel demise,

Silent agony, a future lament.

Yet, I linger, captivated by his ghost,

"He'd never harm me," a comforting boast. "He'll always try," reality's cruel toast.

Lies persist, oh, why do I returning to the same, the rhythm of life?

Fear dictates, a relentless guide, pondering why deceit I can't cast aside.

Excuses formed, labeling them "perfect" in my mind,

A perpetual loop, a truth hard to find.
